Hi kjhearts,
Thanks for reacting to my bubble. Yes, Southern CA has really become a nightmare in some places. If you don't mind my asking, what part of CA were you from or did you live in ? A lot of my friends and family back home don't seem to think it's so bad; but they have been adapting to all these changes gradually (not really seeing the whole picture). After living/working in Europe for a very long time, I thought all these changes for the worse seemed really shocking. Take Anaheim (where Disneyland is situated). That used to be an extremely safe area. Even kids could wander through the parking lot without coming to harm. But lately I've seen videos on YouTube of the same area (now called "little Arabia"). It was horrendous, the cops fighting with gangs to the last as if it were a war zone. So sad. The CA I remember was sunny, filled with palm trees, next to the Pacific and to the North"Big Bear"mountains. Even when I was studying at USC, it was still like that. And driving was a breeze. Scenes like those I witnessed might have been dismissed as science-fiction back then. All things considered, I think you're probably better off in Oregon than I ever would be going back to CA. Kinda sad when you can't recognize your own home anymore, though. Anemone

Hi kjhearts,
I was just reading the "Getting to know people "thread. I thought your answers were great. You sure do have a whole lot of pets - sounds wonderful. Do you live on a big spread where there's room for so many animal companions ?
